The Tech-Air® 5 is a compact and self-contained airbag vest that can be worn under any textile or Tech-Air-compatible jacket, or any leather jacket with 4 cm of space around the circumference of the pilot's shoulders.

The Tech-Air® 5 vest is designed to be worn under any textile jacket, always taking into account that the jacket is large enough to accommodate the expansion of the airbag in the event of an accident. In the case of textile jackets, this requires an additional space of 4 cm around the circumference of the body.
For those pilots who want to wear a sporty leather jacket, the Tech-Air 5 can also be worn with Tech-Air@ compatible leather jackets, which have built-in leather expansion panels to accommodate airbag inflation.
Pilots who wish to wear a leather jacket that is not compatible with Tech-Air® must ensure that the leather jacket has an additional 4cm of space around the circumference of the entire chest.
Developed from years of research with the world's best MotoGP riders and ALPINESTARS customers, data from millions of kilometres and thousands of crashes has been analysed to constantly improve the intelligent collision detection algorithm. Upon identification of a crash situation, a protective airbag deploys, providing unrivalled protection to the rider with a maximum inflation of 20 to 40ms depending on the volume of the airbag size.
INNOVATION:
The state-of-the-art Tech-Air® 5 vest comes with an active electronic system that has six built-in sensors (3 gyroscopes and 3 accelerometers) and a crash algorithm that leverages AI to precisely control when to deploy the airbag in the event of a crash.
PROTECTION:
Absorbing shocks while wearing the airbag causes the force of the impact to decrease by up to 95% compared to a passive protector. The Tech-Air® 5 airbag system offers the same protection as the 18 back protectors.
EASE OF USE
The system is extremely easy to use; Just zip up the vest and close the magnetic flap and you're ready to ride. An LED display indicates the airbag's operating status and the integrated, certified lithium-ion battery lasts for 30 hours of driving. The system comes equipped with a micro USB magnetic charger that allows for fast, easy and convenient recharging.
CONNECTIVITY:
Bluetooth connectivity with the Tech-Air® app allows access to the system's operating status, battery status and analysis of your route, which even includes tracing your route on a map. The app can also update the system's firmware when improved crash detection algorithms are released.
STREET + RACE RIDING MODES
In addition to motorcyclists being able to ride protected during their daily commute, they can now easily switch to racing driving mode and riding on closed circuits. The new Tech-Air® app allows riders to easily switch between STREET and RACE riding modes. Race Riding mode should only be used for driving on closed circuits and not for any other type of riding.
